When my last stylist quit doing hair, I sought to find someone new who would embrace my curly hair, even if I don't always do that for myself. I like to wear it both curly and straightened sometimes. Justine is so good at meeting me where I am at with no pressure or making me feel guilty because I do love to use my smoothing iron sometimes. It was important to me to find someone who was easy to talk to and friendly. I got the impression right away that Justine genuinely cares about her clients and the health of their hair. This has been the biggest change that I have noticed in my hair after working with her for some time now. My hair has so much less breakage and it feels soft and genuinely just healthier.

In the past when I went to other stylists, I never left loving my hair. I usually left with something completely different than what I envisioned or feeling like there was no change at all. Justine genuinely listens and explains the complete process of whats going to happen so I'm always comfortable and prepared. Sometimes the process is a little scary! Like getting highlights feels so intense until the toner goes on. But because we talked about the process, I knew they wouldn't stay that light. I also walked away fully knowing what to expect for future maintenance so there are no surprises.

I continue to choose to see her because she's just great and I love her energy and vibe. I genuinely just like talking to her for the couple hours I'm in the chair.

Justine and I met when I was searching for a hair & make-up artist for my wedding. I really wanted someone who could do both, had experience with curly hair and just enhancing natural beauty rather than doing makeup that didn’t “look like me” on our wedding day. I followed her profiles and prior to getting married I knew I wanted to make a big change after. I had a curly hair stylist but I really loved how Justine uses natural and organic products as I am starting a cleaner product journey myself.
I have never felt more at ease and trusting of Justine in taking care of my hair. Getting a hair cut or styling done was always an anxious task for me being that I had curly hair. She really listens and takes what I say into account when styling my hair. It helps that she also has curly hair herself so she is very knowledgeable and offers great advice.

Kinda touching back on what surprised me, I feel very calm and know me and my hair will be taken care of with Justine. I’ve had two other stylists and there’s an understanding with Justine I don’t feel like I had with them. Our hair is a big part of our identity as women and I think she really takes that to heart and I trust her more than anyone with my hair.
Since switching over to products that are healthier for my scalp and hair I’ve noticed the texture of my curls are more hydrated and less brittle. Even coloring my (virgin) hair with Justine, it’s not damaging in any way. I’ve learned new techniques with her as well in order to better my routine and cultivate & embrace the curly hair more than I ever have in my life.

I moved to the CT/MA border in Spring of 2023 and started searching for a new hair dresser right away.
I came across Justine after searching through lots of reviews & recommendations! See, I like change and often don't have a specific idea in mind when I come in. From day one, she always gives me great recommendations and insights for everything from cuts to colors. She's been cutting my hair every 3 to 4 weeks now with a color every other time and I never leave unhappy. We've transitioned from mid length curly hair to a full pixie, changed up the color many times and I always look forward to my next appointment with her!
